2011 Partnership with Murray Now

An exciting partnership has been formed to support women in business in the Albury Wodonga region.  The partnership between Women In Chamber and Murray Now will provide a level of support for business women, not seen in the Border region until now.

Anne McNaught, Chair of Women In Chamber; made the announcement at the first Women In Chamber event for 2011 with 100 local business women in attendance. With an Executive Committee of 23 passionate business women from across the Border, Women In Chamber continues to gather momentum for 2011.
‘We are thrilled with the level of support this partnership will provide to women in the business community and look forward to a rewarding year’ said Anne.

Nicole Doughty, Executive Officer of Murray Now commented that ‘Murray Now was extremely pleased to be able to offer support to business women across the Albury Wodonga region in such a tangible way.  Women In Chamber is a progressive and strong group who are achieving benefits for women in business.  The principles of Women In Chamber match perfectly with the objectives of Murray Now, a united approach to assist businesses become more successful.’

Nicole also commented that ‘Women In Chamber’ provided an excellent opportunity to like-minded business women who understand the challenges of juggling family responsibilities and running a business.’   Nicole believes encouragement is needed for more women to think about setting up in their own business and not to waste hard earned education or talents that a woman may have.  ‘I am excited about the new opportunity to become more involved.’

Women in Chamber 2011

Kristy McKenzie from Solomons Floors in Wodonga and Mell Millgate from WHK in Albury will join Helen Spittal from Albury Freight Distribution Centre as Deputy Chairs of Women In Chamber in 2011, in order to provide a greater level of support to women in business.   Women In Chamber is a tremendous forum to improve your businesses through networking and discussion of business issues; whilst at the same time enjoying the social atmosphere. I encourage women of any age in business from across the region, to make contact and become involved in this positive group of enthusiastic ladies.

Women In Chamber was created to provide support for women in business and to encourage them to positions on the Management Committees of the three main Chambers.

Peter Barlow, Chair of Wodonga Chamber, David Koschitzke Chair of Albury Chamber and Arthur Frauenfelder Chair of Northside Chamber were thrilled at the success of  Women In Chamber and excited about the significant partnership formed with Murray Now for 2011.
